A bar counter or dining sideboard drawn with nothing on it is one of those elevations that technically shows everything the architecture needs to show and still somehow looks unconvincing, and in my experience the fix is almost always the smallest accessories in the library, decorative bottles and glassware, rather than anything structural. These are the details that actually make a bar elevation read as a bar rather than a countertop with cabinets underneath it.

It's a detail that's easy to skip because it feels minor compared to getting the cabinetry and counter dimensions right, but in practice it's often the first thing a client's eye goes to on a rendered bar elevation, simply because it's the part of the drawing that most closely resembles something they'd actually recognize from a bar they've been to, rather than pure architecture.

What glassware and bottle blocks actually add to the scene

Bottle and glassware blocks do a specific kind of styling work that larger accessories like a vase or a framed picture can't, they add texture and clutter in the good sense, the kind of controlled visual density that makes a surface look actively used rather than staged for a photo shoot. Getting the blocks onto the drawing cleanly

Insert bottle and glassware blocks with INSERT so base points land correctly on the shelf line, keep them on a dedicated bar decor or FF&E layer, separate from the millwork and cabinetry layers, so a construction document set can hide the styling entirely and just show the joinery. Because these blocks are small and often placed in dense clusters, zoom in before finalizing the sheet to confirm nothing is overlapping the shelf edge or floating above the surface it's meant to be resting on, an easy thing to miss when placing a dozen small objects quickly across a long bar run.

Because bar elevations are often revisited multiple times through a project as the beverage program or supplier list changes, it's worth keeping bottle and glassware blocks on their own clearly named sublayer so a later revision can swap out or restyle just that portion of the drawing without touching the surrounding cabinetry, counter, or lighting layers that haven't changed.
