Human Figure Type 13: 2D Elevation View

Description

Humans, scientifically known as Homo sapiens, are the only living members of the Hominina subtribe. They are known for their upright posture and walking on two legs, their advanced use of tools and language, and their large, complex brains and societies. Earlier human-like species, such as the australopithecines, are less commonly referred to as “human” and have more similarities to non-human apes. Some early hominins were able to use fire, lived in many parts of Eurasia, and eventually gave rise to the anatomically modern humans in Africa around 315,000 years ago. These modern humans began to show signs of advanced behavior about 50,000 years ago and migrated out of Africa to settle in most parts of the world.
